Requirement credit based on hours worked can be given through shifts/events/meeting within the registration tool. Credit can be configured at the registration tool level so it'll apply to all shifts/events/meetings within the tool. The amount of hours credit received is determined by the length of the shift. For example, if the shift is from 10:00am-12:00pm, then they would receive 2 hours credit.

If needed, you can override the hours credit given at the shift tool level by using the Override Hours feature when viewing attendees for a registration. You can learn more about this here.

Required access:

You will need the Registration Administrator access level.

How to get there:

  • Go to Admin Member Management
  • Select Registration Tool Manager

Steps to be taken to set up credit at the registration tool level:

  1. Click Setup next to the Registration Tool
  2. Go to Advanced - Hours

  3. Use the dropdown menu to select the Hours Type they should receive credit towards
  4. Choose the Hours Submission Type to determine how they'll receive the credit. Here is information on each option
    • Approve When Date Passed - this means no matter what (even if the member is not marked as attended) their hours will be automatically set as approved *most popular option*
    • Pending When Date Passed this means no matter what (even if the member is not marked as attended) their hours will be automatically set as pending
    • Approve When Marked as Attended and Date Passed - this means they will only receive hours once they are marked as attended and the date of the event/shift passes. Once they are marked as attended, they will automatically receive hours that are already set to approved. *most popular option*
    • Pending When Marked as Attended - this means once they are marked as attended and the date of the event/shift passes, their hours will still be listed as pending. An admin will need to also go into the hours manager and marked their hours as approved (Note: This is not commonly used)

Take note, once Allow Self Check In is set to Yes, it hides the option for the Hours Submission Type, so if you set Allow Self check in back to No, you can update the field.
You can check the Hours Submission Type in the setup when first creating the registration tool and before setting Allow Self Check In to Yes.

  5. An optional field of Do Not Auto-Apply Hours Before Date can have a date entered. This is the earliest date that hours generated by this tool will be counted. If left blank, there will be no early limit. It is normally left blank.
  6. Click Save
  7. When people are marked as Attended for shifts/events/meetings within the registration tool, they will receive the hours credit for the period span they attended the registration within
