Dear Member Essentials Admins,

 

Thank you for your continued use of AJLI's Member Essentials technology platform!

It has been a big year in the evolution of this platform. Over the past League year, we launched the following:

 

  • Member Essentials Basic - additional features including a League Calendar, Photo Feed, new Email Tool and other customizations of the Member Portal.  Almost 50 Leagues are on this version. 
  • Member Essentials Plus - introduced with many new features: a Junior League mobile app, Stripe integration that allows Dues Management, a Simple Store, Donations, Paid Events, Requirements and Volunteer Hours Tracking. Thirty Leagues onboarded to this version this year, and many more are scheduled for this summer. 
  • Both Member Essentials Basic and Plus seamlessly integrate with Placement Matching, an online platform that supports our new member-centric placement process, which will create a more meaningful experience for each member.

Moving forward, we have big plans for the continued improvement and expansion of the product. Thank you for all your feature requests. Please keep them coming as we review each one! Also, stay tuned for our new product roadmap article for new enhancements scheduled. 

 

In July, Mailchimp synchronization is getting an upgrade and details can be found here.   

 

Set up Member Essentials for your League Year Transition

 

Access Levels
Define your new Member Essentials Administrator Team. Please watch this video to learn how to assign permissions. Security Administrators and Administrators may use Access Manager to set permissions for incoming Administrators and remove expired ones.  

 

President and President-Elect should have the "Security Administrator” permission, so they can allocate the other permissions to the rest of the league such as:

  • Administrators have all permissions to all other Administrative access levels, except for the Security Administrator.
  • My League Content enables a member to manage News and Alerts and My League (Member Content) pages. 
  • Member Administrator can add or edit Member records. 
  • Position Administrator allows access the Position Manager to manage positions.

Don't forget to assign permissions for AJLI specific tasks including: 

  • AJLI Dues Billing Admin
  • AJLI Transfer Admin 
  • AJLI Permissions Admin         
  • AJLI League Profile Admin


Position Manager

Administrator should either assign positions directly through the Admin Directory via Admin > Member Search or use the Position Manager to assign the placements for your members

 

To ensure AJLI can contact members of your leadership team, please make sure to assign these positions.
