Customizing the colors on your WordPress site is a straightforward way to ensure your website aligns with your League’s brand identity. With WordPress, adjusting the colors of elements like backgrounds, text, and buttons is easy to do directly within the Customizer. 

Steps to Customize Your Theme Colors 

1. Access the WordPress Customizer: 

   - Log in to your WordPress Dashboard. 

   - Go to Appearance > Customize. This opens the Customizer, where you can make changes to your theme in real-time. 

2. Select the Colors Section: 

   - In the Customizer, find the Colors or Theme Options section (the exact name may vary depending on your theme). 

   - Here, you’ll see options to change the colors for various parts of your site, such as the background, text, links, and buttons. 

3. Choose Your League Colors: 

   - Click on each color option to open the color picker, where you can select the appropriate colors. 

   - You’ll see a live preview of your changes as you adjust the colors, helping you see how they’ll look on your site. 

 4. Apply Your Changes: 

   - Once you’re happy with the new color scheme, click Publish at the top right of the Customizer. This will apply the changes to your live site.

Syncing Time: What to Expect 

 - Immediate Preview: As you adjust colors in the Customizer, you’ll see changes instantly in the live preview. 

- Applying Changes: After clicking "Publish," your changes typically sync to the live site within a few minutes. In some cases, it may take up to a few hours to overnight, especially if your site uses caching. 

- Refreshing Your View: If you don’t see your changes immediately on the live site, try refreshing your browser or clearing the cache. This ensures you’re viewing the most up-to-date version of your site. If this does not work, then wait until the next day to check again. 

 Important Notes: 

- No Custom CSS or Plugins: Please note that custom CSS or additional plugins are not supported. All color adjustments should be made directly within the Customizer. 

- AJLI Brand Consistency: Be sure to follow the Brand Guide when selecting colors to maintain a consistent look across all League websites. 

By following these steps, you can easily customize your site’s colors to match your League’s brand, ensuring a professional and unified appearance.
