Once you have done with the configuring the Tool and before you launch, use this checklist to ensure that the system functions as you anticipate.
1. Check that placements are ready to launch.
- Enter the Placement Matching Tool and click on Placement Configuration
- Make sure all active placements for the current year have been marked as Complete in the Config Status column. Only those marked as Complete will display for the member
- Confirm that you have configured only for the skills that you are using in your current placements.
- From the Administrative Queue, click the Reports icon
- Select the Placement Tagging by Skill report
- This report shows which placements have been tagged with which skills and displays skills with no placements
- To remove unused Skills, return to the Administrative Queue, click the Settings icon, and then Year-specific Settings. Scroll to the Skills section and uncheck any unused Skills Tags
2. Temporarily Open Placement Matching.
- Select the Settings icon from the Administrative Queue and select Member Access Settings
- Toggle the Member Access setting to On
- Copy the Member Access Link
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
3. Test your system from the Member view.
- Paste your Member Access link into a new browser window to enter the Placement Tool from the Member Portal
- Make sure that you are already logged into your Member site
- Complete the steps in both Placement Matching and Placement Sign-up mode as a Member would:
Placement Matching Mode
Placement Sign-up Mode
Pay attention to:
- All skills available to a Member are offered in a placement
- Ensure the online discovery page shows whether you are offering (or not offering) one-on-one exploratory conversations
- Welcome and final messaging are correct for your League
If any area needs fixing, head back to the Administrative side of Placement Matching to make changes.
Test the mass email function by selecting yourself and sending yourself a “mass email.”
Contact AJLI at info@ajli.org if you would like help confirming that your system is ready to go.
4. After corroborating that all configurations have been set correctly, distribute the Member Access link to your Membership.
