Before you start setting up your dues definitions for a new League year, make sure you turn off dues collection to prevent members from paying dues before collection officially starts.
Required Access:
You will need Dues Administrator or Administrator access level.
Where to Go:
- From the Member Portal, click on Admin > Member Management
- Select Dues Management
- Scroll to the bottom and find Set Member Access to Dues
Steps to be Taken:
Set Accepting Dues Payments to No.
After you select No, an optional field will appear. End User Message when Accepting Dues payments set to “No" is where you can enter a message such as "Dues collection will start on January 30, 2024," notifying your members that dues collection is not yet available. It is recommended to set up a message here.
Save your settings.
If you impersonate any of your members, and copy the link from View Stripe Dues Payment Landing Page (https://vms.ajli.org/?nd=vms_stripe_dues_landing), you will see that the message will appear. If no message was set up, this will be a blank page.
