This article discusses how to assign group leaders to a GroupShare group. There are two ways to manage Group Leaders, through the Position Manager or Access Groups. This article will show how to assign group leaders through the Position Manager. Only groups created through the Position Group will have the option for the configuration.

Required Access:

You will need Position Administrator or Administrator access.

Where to go:

  1. Go to Admin > Member Management > Position Manager
  2. Click on the Correlation tab.
  3. Find the name of the position you would like to assign as a leader i.e. Membership Committee Chair
  4. To the right, under the Actions column, click on Configure
  5. Under the Is Group Leader? dropdown, select Yes.

  6. Anytime a member is assigned this position, they will always be the group leader for the GroupShare group. 
  7. The refresh rate is immediate.
