This article will show how to configure and select Dues Add-Ons for dues items defined in Dues Definition Listing. Dues Add-Ons can be anything from donations, product sales, event sales, late fees and other types of dues.
Required Access:
You will need the Dues Administrator or Administrator administrative access level.
Where to Go:
- From the Member Portal, go to Admin > Member Management
- Go to Dues Management
Steps to be Taken:
- On this page, you will see a list of all the dues items under Dues Definition Listing. Go to the Dues Add-Ons tab.
- Click on the add icon or plus sign to create a new dues add-on.
- On this popup, you will see the following options:
- Name - the name of the add-on such as Additional JL Donation
- Amount - the total Price of the add-on.
- Accounting Reference - select a code that was defined in Accounting Reference Configuration.
- Add to Dues Fulfillments - IGNORE - this feature will be retired
- Required - setting this to Yes will make this add-on required. A member will not be able to de-select the add-on when paying dues, and it will automatically be added to her total dues amount.
- Add-On Type
- Single Item - any item that has a fixed fee
- Item with Quantity option - items that can be be purchased with a Quantity option e.g. T-shirts
- Fixed Donation - a donation amount that is a fixed total amount, e.g. a Mission Fund Donation for $100
- Open Donation - a donation with an open amount where a Member can specify the total amount to donate
- Description - specify a description for your Dues Add-Ons, which will appear when a Member pays their dues
- Exclude Access Groups - (Optional) if you would like to exclude certain Members from seeing the add-on when they pay dues, choose an access group here. This can also be used for any waived access groups.
- Click on Submit to save your changes.
- Once you're done defining all your add-ons, you can enable them for each dues option in the Dues Definition Listing page. See Enabling Dues Add-Ons
Archiving Dues Add-Ons
- To archive a Dues Add-Ons, find the item you would like to remove, and click the 'X' icon under Actions.
- To see archived items, select the eye icon on the upper right menu.
- To restore an item, click on the eye icon again, which will include all the archived add-ons.
- Find the add-on you would like to restore and under Actions, click on the restore icon.
