This article will detail how to check in to an event using the Junior League app.
Prior to the Event
- Use any of these apps to check in:
- Junior League for iOS (Apple)
- Junior League for Android
- Be sure to download and log into the app before you event starts
- If you do not have the app installed, go to the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Once you download the app, simply enter your email or phone number associated with your account to receive a verification code
- Enter your code and you will be logged into the app
- Please be sure to allow notifications when prompted. This is used to show you reminders to check in to the event when the time comes
Using the Junior League App to Check into an Event
If you have signed up for the event and have notifications enabled, you will receive a prompt to login at the start time of the event. You can simply click this notification to start the check in process or follow these steps:
- Open the Junior League app
- Find the Self Check In icon on the homepage.
- If you don't see the event on the list, please swipe down on your screen to refresh.
- Once your find it, tap on the name of your event
- Click on “Check In” once your phone locates the beacon or GPS (this is noted by the green notification bar at the bottom of the screen)
- If, after you check in, the button says "Check Out" then you will need to check out at the end of the event. Not all events require check out.
Using the Junior League App to Check out of an Event
Note: not all events require check out. You will know if you need to check out if the button changes to "check out" once you check in.
- Open the Junior League app
- Tap on the menu icon at the top left
- Tap on “Self Check-In” at the bottom of the menu
- Tap on the name of your event
- Tap “Check Out”
Using the Junior League App to Check into an Event with a Code
An administrator can choose to provide a manual code that can be used to check in instead of the beacon.
- Open the Junior League app
- Tap on the menu icon at the top left
- Tap on “Self Check-In” at the bottom of the menu
- Tap on the name of your event
- Click Code in the top right
- Enter the code provided by an administrator to check in
Troubleshooting Check In/Check Out Problems
If you are not seeing the option to check in or receive an error:
- Check the bottom of the app screen, which displays diagnostic data telling you how resolve the issue. Usually you need to turn on Bluetooth or WiFi. See the examples below:
- Be sure you are signed up for the event. Depending on how the administrator has configured the event, some events may require you to be pre-registered to check in
